This is a hill I am willing to die on.<br /><br />The self-proclaimed Mensa member not only believes that IQ tests measure intelligence, they care so much about how smart they are that they spend their time and money to establish it, and then tell you about it. They may or may not in fact be smart, but they almost certainly are a bore. Also, smart people can believe really dumb things. I was very interested in joining in my youth. Then I (a) hit my twenties, and (b) met some actual members. The combination erased any desire to join.
